Fishing and Hunting in Haugastøl

Geilo Hunting & Fishing union manages hunting and fishing rights of around 30 lakes in addition to the main waterway from Karistølneset to the boundary with Hordaland County and 42,000 D.A with good hunting ground at Haugastøl.

We sell fishing licenses at Haugastøl (or at inatur.no). Hunting licenses are sold by Geilo Hunting & Fishing union themselves – not at Haugastøl.

Fishing is allowed in the period 1 May to 30 September. Ice fishing is only permitted in Ustedalsfjorden, Bergsmulfjorden, Nygardsvatnet and Sløddfjorden.
